The Polyphonic Spree is a Dallas-based symphonic pop mishmash of 70s A.M. radio and Beatles-esque 'Nuggets' pop. They have been known for freaking many the ordinary person, due to their 'cult-like' flowing white robes and songs praising the sun among other hippie-dippie things.
